Classical and Jazz Music Festival in Lake Tahoe

OVERVIEW
The Classical Tahoe Festival in Incline Village, NV seeks an interested individual to join its seasonal staff as the Patron Services Coordinator. This position will assist in efforts to sell tickets and support the Box Office and Hospitality teams during Festival concerts and events. As part of the Box Office and Hospitality teams, this position will complete ticket transactions, ensure patron satisfaction through knowledge of the Festival and excellent customer service.

The Festival’s box office is located at the University of Reno, Incline Campus. This position will also assist in operating concessions and the merchandise tent, including tending the register, taking and fulfilling orders, inventory and stocking. This position reports to the Patron Services & Festival Administrator.

This is a seasonal, full-time position with employment spanning 5 weeks from July 7 – August 11, 2026. Because of the event-oriented nature of the work, daily and weekly schedules, shift breaks, days off, and time off are subject to change to fulfill job duties at the discretion of the Administrator. This position is expected to work at least 40 hours per week.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES

Box Office & Hospitality Management
– Complete all aspects of ticket sales, including processing transactions, maintaining patron database, printing tickets, preparing packaged and Will Call orders, processing waitlists, and contacting patrons via phone and email, as needed
– Manage event-related tasks at concerts, including program book inventory and distribution, inserts, signage, partner materials, assist managing volunteers, and other various event-related activities
– Reconcile ticket sales and ticket counts nightly to ensure accuracy and alignment with in-house reports.
– Set up and provide service at the Classical Tahoe Box Office, Concert Concessions stand and/or Merchandise Tent
– Assist hospitality efforts and concessions sales for all performances and open rehearsals
– Set up and break down of all Classical Tahoe events, including Encore Receptions, Subscriber Inside Looks, Truckee Community Concert.

Volunteer management
– Actively seek and engage a diverse group of volunteers, providing clear expectations, the event schedule, and their specific roles.
– Assist with training sessions to ensure volunteers are equipped with the necessary knowledge and skills
– Oversee volunteer teams during the festival, providing guidance, addressing concerns, and ensuring smooth execution of tasks

Customer Service
– Provide exemplary customer service to all patron needs, addressing issues and inquiries with professionalism and accuracy
– Manage email communications to patrons regarding ticket turnbacks and event updates, when needed

Administration
– Ensure a well-stocked box office, including ticket stock, envelopes, printer ink, and other necessary materials
– Become familiar with the PatronManager ticketing system and Salesforce CRM through in-person and video training sessions
– Complete box office opening and closing procedures
– Work both day and evening shifts as assigned
– Perform other duties as assigned

REQUIREMENTS
– Experience within a box office setting is preferred
– Must possess strong customer service skills
– Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
– Possess a valid driver’s license
– Arrive punctually for each scheduled shift in appropriate attire
– Familiarity with classical music and standard orchestral practices preferred
– Be able to lift 30+ lbs.

COMPENSATION
Stipend is $800 per week, payable at the end of the month
Additional compensation for training is $15/hr, prior to the festival’s start date
Housing in shared accommodations will be provided for the duration of the 5 week festival.
A shared rental car will be provided for the duration of the festival.
Travel reimbursement up to $600
