The National Flute Association is seeking a membership intern to assist with convention registration and members in preparation for the NFA’s annual convention in Portland, OR, August, 2026. More information about the NFA is available on the website: NFAonline.org.
May 11-July 31: 8 hours per week, remote.

Communications, marketing, arts administration, music education, music and flute students at the bachelors or masters level are encouraged to apply.

The Communications intern will gain hands-on experience in a variety of key communications areas as they work to promote the 2026 convention. The intern will be responsible for assisting with communications on all NFA channels, including social media platforms, marketing emails (Mailchimp), print, newsletters, and more.

The Communications Intern works remotely on a regular weekly schedule during regular office hours (Monday through Friday), as agreed with the Communications Manager.

The following skills are preferred for this internship:
• Strong writing ability
• Design skills (familiarity with Canva or similar platform is a plus)
• Proven social media skills (creating content for an organization or your personal account)
• Organizational skills
• Clear communication ability
• Music Knowledge

Stipend for office internship May 11 – July 31: Approximately $1,600 based on $16.60 per hour, 8 hours per week for 12 weeks
