EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR
Supervises and oversees administration and day-to-day operation of Music For All Seasons. Reports to the Chairman of the Board of Trustees. Successful fundraising experience and successful grant-writing ability are critically important. Previous experience of two to five years running a successful small to mid sized not-for-profit organization is desirable. Some musical experience is also desirable.

Responsible for:

• Implementing the mission and ensuring that the policies, direction and strategies determined by the Board of Trustees are carried out.

• Ensuring that all Foundation, Corporate and Government, (Federal, State and County), requirements are met; preparing filing the necessary reports and documents to grantors, county, state and federal agencies; ensuring that tax requirements are met and appropriate documents filed; checking that all activities of Music For All Seasons remain within the guidelines of 501(c)(3) regulations.

• Planning and monitoring the success of major fundraising programs; writing proposals to foundations, corporations, and government entities for major funding; writing case statement materials for the organization; meeting with corporate leaders and foundation directors to further the funding needs of the organization; speaking at lunches, dinners, meetings and appropriate panels to increase awareness of the work of Music For All Seasons.

• Monitoring the budget; approving all budgeted expenses; ensuring that the accounts are audited annually; along with the treasurer, working to maintain all accounting and financial documents; preparing regular financial reports for the Board of Trustees; preparing the annual budget.

• Along with the Artistic Team, supervising all MFAS staff, with the approval of the Board, overseeing all hiring and firing of staff, coordinators and musicians.

• Along with the Artistic Director, evaluating all current programs and developing future programmatic directions as related to fundraising opportunities and grant compliance.
