• Conduct research on donors and prospects of note to complete profiles within the organization’s CRM.
• Generate fundraising reports to be used for financial reporting and contact segmentation.
• Reconcile donations, grant receipts, pledges, and development-related expenses on a routine basis against reports from the finance team to ensure accuracy and to track progress against budget.
• Ensure that donor-restricted funds and gifts to the endowment are tracked accurately.
• Assist in creating development budgets and projections.
• Screen and respond to inquiries to the main staff phone line and general email inbox.
• Process incoming mail for CCS, promptly depositing donations received.

Special Events
• Support the execution and planning of fundraising events, including an annual gala and smaller receptions and private events throughout the year.

• Coordinate event logistics, timelines, and communications, and manage event vendors.

ABOUT CATHEDRAL CHORAL SOCIETY
As Washington, DC’s longest-standing symphonic chorus, the GRAMMY-nominated Cathedral Choral Society—led by Music Director Steven Fox—sets the standard for vibrant, engaging concerts in the nation’s capital. Each season, CCS presents mainstage concerts at Washington National Cathedral, inviting concertgoers on exciting musical journeys that reflect the rich diversity of musical traditions in our local community and throughout our nation.

Since its inaugural performance of Verdi’s Requiem in 1942 at the outset of the Second World War, CCS has performed in times of national celebration and in times of mourning. The chorus has collaborated with some of the most extraordinary musicians of the last century, including Robert Shaw, Marin Alsop, Leonard Slatkin, Dominick Argento, John Rutter, Dave Brubeck, J’nai Bridges, and more. Collaborators have included the Baltimore Symphony Orchestra, the National Symphony Orchestra, the Atlanta Ballet, the Washington Bach Consort, Kansas City Chorale, Washington Ballet, and more. A multi-year collaboration with the Heritage Signature Chorale, called I, Too, Sing America, has resulted in performances and documentary videos and will culminate in a concert of new commissions from African American composers in 2027. The annual High School Choir Festival brings more than 200 students from around the region together for a day of learning and singing together. Learn more at cathedralchoralsociety.org.
