Website ARTogether

Serving Refugees and Immigrants in the Bay Area

ARTogether is governed by two Co-Executive Directors who share organizational leadership, fundraising responsibility, and accountability to the Board of Directors. Each Co-Executive Director holds a distinct portfolio of responsibilities, while functioning as true partners in strategy, governance, and organizational culture. Neither role is senior to the other, this is a model built on parity, complementary strengths, and shared ownership of ARTogether’s future.

This Co-Executive Director’s portfolio centers on finance, operations, human resources, and foundation and government grants. In this role, you are ARTogether’s operational anchor, the person who ensures the organization is financially sound, compliantly run, and strategically resourced. You will work in close day-to-day partnership with your Co-Executive Director, who holds the portfolio for communications, community presence, and individual donor relationships.

This is a leadership role, not a support role. You will co-own the organization’s direction alongside your Co-ED partner and the Board. The ideal candidate brings strong nonprofit finance and operations experience, a track record in foundation and government grant management, and a genuine commitment to immigrant and refugee communities. Comfort with ambiguity, a collaborative spirit, and the ability to hold both the details and the big picture are essential.

• Experience navigating organizational transitions, restructuring, or growth phases
• Comfort with shared or distributed leadership structures

Leadership Style & Values
The Co-Executive Director will bring:
• Collaborative, non-hierarchical leadership — you share power and build trust
