Our Studio is seeking a highly organized, professionally-minded Studio Manager and Liaison to oversee commercial outreach and strategic growth. This role is designed for a “producer” type who can bridge the gap between a private creative studio and the professional art market. You will be the primary point of contact for a body of work that spans traditional fine art (large-scale drawings and photograms) and innovative digital technology (proprietary mosaic software).
The Role:
You will act as the key intermediary between the artist’s studio in Highland Park and external partners, including museum consultants, commercial art firms, and design agencies. This is a high-level coordination role focused on “moving the needle”—getting the work into the right hands and managing the logistics of commercial success.
Key Responsibilities:
• Strategic Liaison: Managing professional relationships and project hand-offs with high-level consultants, curators, and agencies.
• Commercial Project Management: Coordinating with production houses for large-scale printing and framing orders; ensuring deadlines are met for corporate or luxury installations.
• Tech Packaging: Assisting in the presentation and “pitching” of proprietary mosaic software to design-thinking agencies and commercial partners.
• Communications: Acting as the “voice” of the studio—drafting correspondence, managing inquiries, and protecting the artist’s time by filtering opportunities.
Ideal Candidate:
• The “Producer” Mindset: Someone who excels at project management and enjoys the “business” side of art.
• Professional Communication: Excellent writing and verbal skills; comfortable navigating conversations with museum directors, agency heads, and high-end collectors.
• Technical Fluency: Ability to discuss the intersection of software and art with confidence.
• Local Presence: Must be able to work on-site at a private residence/studio in Highland Park, IL.
Qualifications:
• BFA or MA in Arts Administration, Communications, or a related creative field.
• Experience in gallery management, agency work, or high-level executive assisting within the creative industries.
• Discretion and professionalism when working within a private estate.
Details:
• Schedule: Part-time (approx. 10–20 hours/week to start).
