Red Clay Dance Company is excited to request applications for the Temp Program Manager position. The role of the Temp Program Manager is to support the Managing Director in maintaining the quality of the organization’s community-based education and engagement programs while expanding their impact throughout Chicago.

ROLES & RESPONSIBILITIES: 

Program Management 

Oversee the implementation of all Education and Engagement programs.  

Ensure achievement of key program outcomes and impact goals, including:  

Engagement  

Participant performance  

Retention  

Track evaluation efforts to ensure desired metrics are met. 

Staff Management 

Support the Managing Director in onboarding Teaching Artivists and Faculty. 

Guide Teaching Artivists and Faculty on best practices to achieve positive participant outcomes.  

Perform other relevant duties as assigned. 

Brand Excellence 

Collaborate with the Managing Director to ensure program and performance quality aligns with the organization’s artistic vision.  

Provide key information for program evaluation to assess program quality and alignment with mission/impact goals.  

Manage data collection and entry for all programs in the organization’s data management system.  

Engage with schools and community partners to communicate program goals, quality, and expected participant impact.  

Support the Managing Director and Director of Marketing & Communication in implementing program marketing and storytelling strategies. 

Program Growth & Sustainability  

Assist the Managing Director in cultivating and managing new school and community program partnerships.  

Participate in partner recruitment, engagement activities, and related events. 

Track and report the status of Making The Artivist enrollment to the Managing Director. 

Discretion 

The Temp Program Manager has a low-level range of discretion and independent decision-making. 

Supervisory Responsibilities 

The Temp Program Manager provides supervision of the Teaching Artivists and Faculty as it relates to their contract responsibilities within the organization’s programs. 

Relationships  

The Temp Program Manager works closely with the Managing Director and serves as the liaison for school and community partners.

Required Qualifications  

Bachelor’s degree.  

Experience in arts program management. 

Preferred Qualifications 

Background in dance.  

Prior supervisory experience.  

Familiarity with project management software (e.g., Asana, Monday). 

Compensation & Benefits 

Salary Range: $29.50 – $32.00 per hour/20 hours per week. This part-time position includes paid leave and paid sick leave in accordance with Chicago requirements, as well as employee discounts and access to entertainment and retail savings programs.
