The Executive Director (ED) will champion the mission and core values of the Arbogast Performing Arts Center (APAC) while fostering collaborative partnerships with community non-profits, schools, and businesses. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, the ED will focus on both strategic vision and hands-on leadership to ensure the organization’s sustainability and growth.

Key Responsibilities

Fundraising and Donor Engagement
● Develop and implement strategies to identify, solicit, and cultivate new donors at local and statewide levels.
● Strengthen relationships with current donors, ensuring sustained contributions and engagement.
● Leverage existing networks to diversify funding streams, securing financial support through grants, sponsorships, and philanthropic initiatives.
● Plan and execute innovative fundraising campaigns and events to drive revenue growth.

Organizational Leadership and Management
● Collaborate with the Board of Directors to create and oversee strategic plans that align with the mission of APAC.
● Manage annual operations, achieve financial goals, and maintain overall budgetary health.
● Provide full oversight of the organization, including programming, staffing, financial stability, and operational efficiency.
● Supervise staff hiring, training, performance reviews, and, when necessary, transitions.

Community and Stakeholder Engagement
● Serve as the face of APAC, building relationships with community leaders, schools, arts organizations, and businesses to advance the center’s mission.
● Promote APAC programming to expand its reach and relevance within the community.
● Advocate for the arts and act as a spokesperson for APAC’s vision, values, and contributions to the region.
● Foster and safeguard the partnership with Troy Christian Schools where the APAC is located.

Board Relations
● Collaborate closely with the Board of Directors to set and pursue strategic priorities.
● Provide transparent and timely communication regarding organizational performance, challenges, and opportunities.
● Support the Board in its governance responsibilities, including recruiting and onboarding new members.
● Attend all board meetings and board preparations with financial reports.

Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree in nonprofit management, business, communications or related field
● Proven experience in executive or senior leadership roles, preferably in nonprofit, arts, or cultural organizations.
● Track record of successful fundraising, including donor cultivation and securing large contributions.
● Strong financial acumen with experience managing budgets and overseeing financial operations.
● Exceptional communication and relationship-building skills.
● Ability to inspire, motivate, and lead staff, volunteers, and stakeholders.
● Passion for the arts and a commitment to APAC’s mission.

Benefit Package
● Full Time position
● Salary: Based on experience – $85,000 to $95,000
● Benefits Package: Medical, Dental, Eye, Disability, Retirement (3% match), vacation based on experience and paid holidays
● Reviewer: Board of Directors (annually)

About the Arbogast Performing Arts Center (APAC): Mission “Creating Community”
The APAC, a 39,000-square-foot, 1,200-seat theater in Troy, Ohio, is a non-profit performing arts venue that opened in October 2021 with a $1.3M budget. It was brought to life through the vision of Troy Christian Schools, with the generous support of longtime Troy residents Dave and Linda Arbogast, as well as contributions from local businesses and individuals.

Dedicated to enriching the greater Miami Valley area, the APAC enhances performing and visual
arts programs for regional schools and community organizations. The venue hosts school performances, community events, and offers rental opportunities for surrounding organizations. Each season, the APAC presents 14 to 18 performances, fostering cultural engagement and
creative expression.
