Box Office Manager

Capital Region Classical (CRC) is seeking a candidate who is passionate about classical music and interested in making a meaningful contribution to the art form with a modest, yet prestigious arts organization. The Box Office Manager will work directly with the Artistic Director and Marketing Director in promoting and strengthening a series of 20 annual concerts in the Capital Region. The Box Office Manager will manage ticketing operations, assist with distribution of promotional materials, and assist the Artistic and Marketing Directors in all aspects of the organization. The candidate must thrive in a multi-tasking environment.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Manage ticketing operations: answer phone/email inquiries, process ticket orders, and maintain customer database. Sell onsite tickets at all concerts which take place on weekends and some evenings. Assist with distribution of concert flyers and other printed materials.

Other duties: scan invoices and contributions, assist with mailings, miscellaneous office tasks.

QUALIFICATIONS

Bachelor’s degree (classical music background preferred) with office experience.
Strong organizational skills, detail oriented, and conscientious.
Excellent verbal and customer service skills.
Self-motivated with the ability to work efficiently with minimal management.
Mastery of Word, Excel with the ability to learn new programs.
COMPENSATION

This is a part-time position at a competitive rate. CRC is a Schenectady-based organization and is a paperless business with an office space in downtown Schenectady.
