HERE Arts Center seeks a dynamic and mission-driven Individual Giving Manager to serve as a primary fundraiser and fundraising coordinator on our team. This is a high-impact role for a relationship-oriented fundraising professional who is passionate about the arts and skilled at connecting donors to meaningful giving opportunities. The Individual Giving Manager will prospect, cultivate, and solicit individual donors for annual, planned, and special project gifts; playing a central role in sustaining and growing HERE’s contributed revenue.

Reports to: Director of Marketing & External Affairs
Annual Salary: $66,500 + HERE’s standard benefits
Hours: 40 hours per week, with frequent evening and weekend hours expected
Paid: biweekly on Fridays
Status: Exempt

Key Responsibilities:
Donor Portfolio Management
– Identify, qualify, cultivate, solicit, and steward a portfolio of donors and prospects giving at the $1,000+ level.
– Develop engagement, stewardship, and giving plans for portfolio donors, informed by giving history, relationship context, and research into each donor’s philanthropic interests and capacity.
– Conduct personal outreach to build and deepen long-term donor relationships.
– Track donor activity and interactions in the organization’s CRM, maintaining accurate and up-to-date records.
– With HERE Co-Directors, help set deadlines and goals for donors in Co-Director portfolios.

Organizational Collaboration
– Identify and manage opportunities to involve board members, artistic leadership, and colleagues across the organization in donor cultivation and stewardship efforts.
– Partner with the Director of Marketing & External Affairs to align individual giving strategy with overall development goals and organizational priorities.
– Serve as a key liaison between the development and programming teams to gather compelling stories and impact data that support donor engagement.

Events & Fundraising
– Coordinate all fundraising outreach and planning for HERE’s annual gala and other donor-related events, including invitation strategy, table management, follow-up, and revenue tracking.
– Identify and execute additional donor engagement opportunities, including cultivation events, artist meet-and-greets, and exclusive programming access.

Communications & Reporting
– Craft compelling, personalized proposals, impact reports, acknowledgment letters, and other donor-facing communications that reflect HERE’s voice and values.
– Prepare board-facing materials related to individual giving, including pipeline reports, goal updates, and donor recognition communications.
– Support the creation of annual fund appeals, mid-level giving program materials, and planned giving outreach in partnership with the broader external affairs team.

Qualifications:
Required
– 3–5 years of fundraising experience.
– Experience securing gifts at the $1,000+ level from individual donors.
– Exceptional written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to tailor messaging to diverse donor audiences.
– Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to cultivate authentic, lasting relationships with donors, board members, and colleagues.
– Experience with donor database management (Cuebox, Salesforce, Tessitura, or similar CRM).
– Highly organized and self-directed, with strong project management skills and the ability to manage multiple priorities simultaneously.
– Commitment to the mission of HERE Arts Center and to experimental theater and the arts more broadly.

Preferred
– Demonstrated success managing a major gifts portfolio.
– Experience fundraising for performing arts, multidisciplinary arts, or cultural organizations.
– Experience with planned giving and with engaging in bequest conversations.
– Experience supporting fundraising events, including galas or cultivation receptions.

Compensation & Benefits: HERE Arts Center offers a salary of $66,500 annually, and a full benefit program, which currently includes:
