General Description: Under the general supervision of the Parks and Recreation Director, manages, markets, and develops the Murray Theater.

Minimum Requirements:

• Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college or university in arts administration, marketing, public relations, business administration, performing arts or other closely related field, plus three (3) years of related experience of which two (2) years must have been supervisory; OR an equivalent combination of related education and experience.

Special Requirements:

• Must possess a valid Utah Driver License.

Essential Duties:

• Provides creative leadership and artistic direction for the theater, including the selection, development, and curation of programming that advances the theater’s mission, engages audiences, and supports organizational goals.
• Develops and implements annual marketing plans and audience development strategies.
• Oversees digital marketing, advertising, website content, social media, and email campaigns.
• Develops community partnerships to increase attendance and participation.
• Cultivates and maintains relationships with sponsors, donors, foundations, and community partners to support theater programs and initiatives.
• Researches, prepares, submits, and administers grant applications.
• Tracks grant compliance and reporting requirements.
• Develops and maintains promotional materials and branding standards.
• Analyzes ticket sales trends and develops strategies to maximize earned revenue.
• Represents the theater in community organizations, business groups, and arts associations.
• Manages event programming, contract execution and booking strategies.
• Prepares, administers, and monitors theater budget and business plan. Assists in developing and implementing division long-range plans.
• Oversees Assistant Theater Manager in developing policies for all theater operations, marketing and patron services.
• Performs other related duties as required.
