Orchestra & Chamber Music Festival in Central NH.

The Festival Administrator plays a vital role in ensuring the smooth and professional operation of the New Hampshire Music Festival’s administrative, financial, and customer service functions. This multifaceted position combines management of finance, donations and ticket sales, communications, and general office operations.

JOB DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

Financial Administration
Manage day-to-day financial operations using QuickBooks Online, including accounts payable, receivable, and bank reconciliations.
Support budget tracking and financial reporting in collaboration with the Executive Director and Treasurer.

Development
Manage patron communications
Record and acknowledge all donations and pledges in the donor database ensuring accurate and timely acknowledgement in written communication and the program book
Support fundraising campaigns ensuring accurate tracking of donor information and contributions.
Help execute and attend fundraising and community events.

Box Office & Ticketing
Manage ticket sales and patron communications through the Festival’s ticketing system.
Oversee box office setup, ticket inventory, and reporting.
Provide excellent customer service to patrons via phone, email, and in person.
Train seasonal ticketing staff and coordinate activities with front-of-house staff and volunteers during concert events.

Office & Administrative Support
Maintain organized digital and physical filing systems.
Assist with communications, mailings, and other administrative needs.
Support seasonal operations and help coordinate storage box delivery during the Festival season.

QUALIFICATIONS:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent professional experience in arts administration, nonprofit management, accounting, or a related field.
Minimum 2–3 years of administrative or bookkeeping experience (nonprofit or arts organization preferred).
Proficiency in QuickBooks Online, Microsoft Office, and Google Workspace; experience with donor and ticketing databases preferred.
Excellent organizational, communication, and time management skills.
Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple priorities independently.
A passion for classical music and the mission of the New Hampshire Music Festival.
Must be able to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends during the festival.

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS: The Festival Administrator should be able to move about freely, move cumbersome items, and lift at least 40 lbs without risking personal harm.

The Festival Administrator is required to live within driving distance of Plymouth, NH and is expected to spend at least 3 days in the office during the off-season and 5 days in the office during the Festival season.
