Job Summary:
The Administrative Assistant will support Park City Opera’s operations, assisting administrative and artistic staff and managing patron services during performances. Ideal candidates are proactive, personable, and detail-oriented, ensuring a positive experience for performers, patrons, and staff.

Job Timeline & Payment:

Part-Time (June 1 – August 25, 2025): ~25 hrs/week

Pay: $14-$18 per hour, depending on experience

Key Responsibilities:

Artist Support

– Housing Coordination: Address housing logistics and issues for visiting singers, acting as the primary liaison for any related needs or concerns.
– Carpool Coordination and Assistance: Arrange carpool schedule and alleviate issues for visiting singers and personally carpool singers when needed.
– Event Organization: Plan and organize social events such as meet-and-greets, day-off activities, and other company gatherings to foster community and engagement among cast members. Arrange snacks and refreshments for rehearsals and performances, maintaining a welcoming and comfortable environment for artists.
– Errands: Run errands as needed to support rehearsal and performance requirements, such as purchasing supplies, printing marketing materials, flyering local businesses, or delivering items to the cast and crew.

Audience and Patron Services

– Comp Tickets & Box Office: Manage comp ticket requests, liaising with the box office team to facilitate smooth processing of ticket allocations and resolve any ticketing issues.
– Customer Service: Provide excellent customer service by addressing patron inquiries, assisting with ticket issues, and ensuring a positive audience experience.
– Usher and Volunteer Coordination: Organize and manage front-of-house staff, including ushers and volunteers, to ensure smooth operations before, during, and after performances.
– Green Room Preparation: Set up and maintain the green room for performers, ensuring it is equipped and comfortable.
– Program Production: Collect, edit, and organize program content, including cast bios and headshots, for publication and distribution at performances.
– Coordinate Front of House Activities: Work with Park City Opera to confirm and communicate with vendors and set-up box office, concessions, and audience activities day-of performances

Marketing and Communications

– Photography: Capture photos during rehearsals and other company events for use in marketing materials and social media, providing a behind-the-scenes look at the production process.

Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications

– Strong organizational skills, with the ability to multitask and manage several responsibilities concurrently.
– Excellent interpersonal skills, with a focus on customer service and relationship-building.
– Ability to work flexible hours, including evenings and weekends.
– Familiarity with performing arts environments and knowledge of basic performance logistics. Knowledge and passion for opera and/or classical music
– Car and valid driver’s license
