Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival (PSF) seeks Director of Development. Working closely with the Managing Director and Artistic Director, the Director of Development leads a two-person team to plan and implement fundraising strategies for the Festival raising over $1.1 million annually with increases in the coming years. Fundraising is accomplished through multiple avenues including solicitation of current and prospective individual and corporate donors, cultivation and stewardship, special events, foundation and government grants, government relations, and annual appeals. With a $3.6 million annual budget, Pennsylvania Shakespeare Festival is a professional Equity theatre and is one of only a handful of summer theatres on the continent offering repertory classical theatre, musicals, children’s theatre, and tours. PSF produces a nine-production summer season in two indoor theaters and local tours with 140+ performances from late May to early August for an annual audience of up to 35,000 and a fall touring production seen by up to 15,000 students per year. Additionally, the fall WillPower Education tour reaches up to 30 schools with performances and workshops; and off-season programs are being developed via the Strategic Plan. PSF operates in association with DeSales University. PSF is located in the Lehigh Valley, about 50 miles north of Philadelphia and 90 miles west of New York City.
