About the Position
The Education Programs Coordinator is responsible for providing on-site and logistical support to PostClassical Ensemble’s (PCE) in-school and external education programs. This includes individual school partnerships with DC Public Schools and Georgetown University.

The role reports to the Education Programs and Partnership Manager, and works in collaboration with the Artistic Director, Executive Director, PCE musicians, guest artists and external school partners (both teachers and administrators) in executing education programs.

Roles and Responsibilities
● Partner with the Education Programs and Partnerships Manager to support the design and execution of all PCE education programs

● Coordinate the scheduling and logistical planning of all education engagements for each of PCE’s artistic programs, which includes:
○ Field Trip Experiences
○ In-School Assembly Performances, Coachings, Masterclasses, and Classroom Visits
○ Carnegie Hall’s Link Up!
○ Ensemble-in-Residence engagements at Georgetown University

● Manage on-site, day-of logistics for all education visits at school and external education partners, along with supporting PCE artistic personnel, including the Artistic Director, musicians, and/or guest artists on these visits

● Communicate all scheduling and logistical information with school and external educational partners, including teachers and administrators

● Support the development of MOUs, curriculum materials, and other items for education programs to schools or other external partners ahead of all education engagements

● Collect program data for each PCE education program, including, but not limited to:
○ Student and Education Testimonials
○ Student Demographics
○ Video and Photo Capture
○ Curriculum Materials

● Support the maintenance of all education program records on shared Google Drive, including, but not limited to:
○ Signed education agreements and MOUs
○ Videos and photos from programs
○ Administrative documentation for programs (ex. Sex Offender Checks, Clearances, Mandated Reporter Certifications, etc)
○ Student Surveys

Qualifications
● Bachelor’s degree with 1-3 years of prior work experience in music, performing arts, or education
● Prior experience working with schools in education enrichment programming
● Prior project management experience
● Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with a variety of internal and external stakeholders
● Excellent communication and organization skills
● Passionate about enriching student’s educational experiences through music
● Be able to obtain and pass all required PCE and DC Public Schools clearances for all in-school program visits

Compensation and Schedule
The Education Programs Coordinator is an independent contractor position that works a maximum of 20 hours per month (or roughly 5 hours per week). The current hourly rate for this position is $30/hour, with hours being tracked and paid on a monthly basis.

This is part time and does not include benefits. PostClassical Ensemble is based in Washington, DC, and this position will be a hybrid model with flexible hours under the direction of the Education Programs and Partnerships Manager and requires in-person attendance at all education programs at school partner sites, performing venues, and collegiate campuses; some of which happen on weekends or weekday evenings. Applicants must be eligible to work in the U.S.
