The Box Office Manager and Coordinator for Theatre and Music is responsible for overseeing ticketing operations, production coordination, and marketing efforts, while supporting the overall success of theatre and music events. This role requires a Bachelor’s degree in Theatre or Arts Management, along with experience in theatre marketing, management, and at least one year in box office or customer service. Key responsibilities include building and maintaining ticketing systems, managing concessions inventory, handling customer inquiries and refunds, and recruiting, training, and supervising box office staff and ushers. The position also involves assisting in production selection, organizing performance schedules such as Shakespeare Upon Avon, coordinating space reservations, securing performance rights, and managing contracts and day-to-day operations, including ordering materials for productions. In addition, the coordinator collaborates on marketing strategies, maintains the department’s website and social media presence, produces promotional materials, and oversees outreach efforts such as email campaigns and recruitment events. Administrative duties include managing communications, tracking data, preparing programs and reports, overseeing budgets and financial processes, and ensuring office supplies and operational needs are consistently met. This position requires flexibility, including evenings and weekends, to support performances and events.
