Assistant/Cover Conductor (One-Year Term)
2025–2026 Season
The Michael O’Neal Singers (MOS), a premier choral organization based in the greater Atlanta area, seeks an Assistant/Cover Conductor for the 2025–2026 season. This position is intended as an opportunity for a developing conductor to gain hands-on experience while receiving mentorship from MOS founder and Music Director, Dr. Michael O’Neal—a renowned choral conductor who studied under Robert Shaw and has led choruses throughout the U.S. and Europe.

Key Responsibilities
• Learn all choral works for each concert cycle and be prepared to conduct rehearsals and concerts as needed.
• Attend all weekly rehearsals throughout the season.
• Be present for all final-week rehearsals and performances.
• Assist in designated portions of dress rehearsals (e.g., sound checks).
• Support rehearsal planning and preparation.
• Commit to a one-year term.

Qualifications
• Demonstrated skill in choral conducting and music education.
• Strong musicianship and clear communication skills.
• Availability for the full rehearsal and performance schedule.
• Openness to mentorship and collaborative learning.

Compensation
• Modest stipend (paid per service).
