🎨 ArtPlay is hiring an Arts Integration Specialist (PreK–12) 🎨

We’re building an arts‑integrated learning model for Alabama through effective systems, strong relationships, and thoughtful leadership—and we’re looking for someone who is excited by that responsibility.

Let’s be clear so we attract the right person:
– This role is NOT an escape from the classroom.
– It does require a strong understanding of what teachers and students need—but it is primarily an administrative, coordination, and program‑management role, not a daily teaching position.
– The Arts Integration Specialist at ArtPlay is responsible for the infrastructure that makes arts‑integrated learning possible. That means spending much of your time planning, organizing, tracking, scheduling, ordering, documenting, and coordinating—often behind the scenes.
– This is a 12-month, salaried position.

This role IS for you if you:
✅ Enjoy building and maintaining systems
✅ Like managing timelines, calendars, materials, and moving parts
✅ Are comfortable tracking data, documenting outcomes, and following up
✅ Think strategically about program development and sustainability
✅ Can collaborate professionally with teachers, teaching artists, and partners
✅ Bring visual arts knowledge and pedagogy to design work—not just delivery
✅ Value process, reflection, and continuous improvement

This role is NOT for you if you:
🚫 Are primarily seeking relief from classroom teaching
🚫 Want most of your day to be direct instruction or facilitation
🚫 Prefer improvisation over planning and structure
🚫 Dislike administrative responsibilities
🚫 Are looking for a low‑logistics, low‑coordination role

There may be moments of modeling, supporting, or engaging directly with learning—but the core of this position is ensuring programs are well‑planned, well‑resourced, well‑scheduled, and well‑run.
