The Events & Development Coordinator is a public-facing role within the Development department at Fairfield Theatre Company. This position plays a vital part in driving revenue to FTC through fundraising events and development efforts. The coordinator will plan and execute all fundraising events, including the annual gala and golf tournament and the FTC dance parties. The coordinator will also assist with donor, prospect and sponsor cultivation and stewardship efforts. Working closely with FTC staff, volunteers, Board members, vendors, and sponsors, this position helps elevate FTC’s presence in the community while generating vital support for its mission.

Specific Duties
• Work directly with event committees and FTC management to plan, execute, and manage all FTC fundraising events.
• Create detailed project plans that include up-to-date timelines, documenting each activity and step required to successfully execute the events.
• Work with marketing to develop and write invitations and event promotions and other related communications.
• Create event budgets, to be reviewed and approved by management and event committee chairpersons.
• Follow up to ensure proper event records and fulfillment.
• Recruit and manage a team of volunteers.
• Work with Development team to develop and expand relationships with donors, sponsors and the community.
• Manage donor and event records in Tessitura database.
• Represent FTC at community events.
• Working with FTC staff, ensure that donor and patron records are maintained accurately.

Required Knowledge, Skills, and Attributes:
• The appropriate candidate will be diligent, tireless, and passionate about the mission and work of FTC.
• Professional demeanor with strong interpersonal and relationship-building skills.
• The ability to work collegially with other FTC staff, Board members, patrons, and supporters is essential.
• Excellent administrative skills including experience with Donor Management/CRM systems, and Microsoft Office.
• The successful candidate will have strong organizational and planning skills with an attention to detail.
• Must handle confidential information appropriately at all times.
• A college degree in a relevant field is preferred.
• Valid driver’s license is required.
• Physical demands: the employee will be asked to lift and/or move items up to 50+ pounds.
• Flexible schedule. Ability to work weekends and evenings, as necessary, to perform duties and meet the business needs of FTC.
