Full-Time | Annapolis, MD | Reports to: Director of Marketing & Communications
Annual Salary: $55,000 + benefits

Who We Are
The Annapolis Symphony Orchestra (ASO) is a cultural powerhouse in Maryland’s capital city and a premier regional orchestra. The oldest and largest arts organization in Anne Arundel County, the ASO is driven by exceptional artistry, a professional team, and a belief in the power of music to move and unite communities. We’re not just about performances — we’re about creating meaningful connections between music and people.

Through our Annapolis Symphony Academy (ASA), we’re helping to shape the next generation of musicians by providing high-level music education and mentorship to talented young students — with a focus on equity, access, and representation in classical music. Together, ASO and ASA form a dynamic organization that’s expanding its reach and impact.

Who We’re Looking For

You’re the kind of person who loves both small details and big ideas. You get as much joy from working with data as you do with helping someone find their perfect seat for a concert. You’re equal parts organized, analytical, and creative: someone who thrives on variety, enjoys working behind the scenes with a team, and takes pride in making things run smoothly and look good.
This role is at the heart of our audience experience and revenue-building efforts. You’ll manage box office operations and be a go-to for our customers reaching out with questions. At the same time, you will work with every department, including Artistic, Business Operations, Community Engagement, and the Annapolis Symphony Academy to help our programs connect with current audiences and reach new ones.
If you’re excited to work on a tight-knit, supportive team where your creativity, flexibility, and reliability will be truly appreciated — and if the idea of working across both world-class concerts and music education with purpose lights you up — this could be your perfect next move.

What You’ll Do

The Marketing & Sales Manager plays a vital dual role, supporting both the ASO box office and the day-to-day customer experience. This position manages box office operations, ensuring a smooth and welcoming experience for ticket buyers, while also assisting the Director of Marketing & Communications and other colleagues to connect audiences to the ASO’s music, musicians, and mission. With a balance of frontline customer service and behind-the-scenes acumen, this role helps shape how people discover, engage with, and enjoy the Annapolis Symphony Orchestra and Academy.

Familiarity with ticketing systems and CRMs (PatronManager or Salesforce-based platforms preferred).
A warm, solutions-focused approach to helping customers and solving problems.
Writing skills with an eye for storytelling in short-form, engaging content.
Demonstrated experience managing social media accounts and reporting on content performance.
Comfort using Canva, Adobe Express, or similar tools for quick-turn content creation.
Strong data analysis and information management.
Ability to manage multiple priorities in a dynamic environment.
Willingness to work evenings and weekends during concert weeks and special events as assigned.
A love of music and a belief in the power of the arts to connect people.

Why This Job Is Great
