Position Summary
Art House Productions is seeking a strategic and relationship-driven Development Manager to join our leadership team. This role will lead the organization’s fundraising efforts in close collaboration with the Executive Artistic Director—including annual campaigns, donor cultivation, sponsor relationships, event planning, and grant support. The role reports to the Executive Artistic Director and collaborates with staff across departments to support the organization’s mission and financial sustainability.

Key Responsibilities
– Lead and manage Art House’s Annual Campaign and other Fundraising efforts, including Hudson Gives and Board contributions.
– Build, develop, and maintain relationships with individual donors, corporate sponsors, and local business partners.
– Collaborate with the Marketing Director to connect and engage with community members to build local audiences and foster charitable giving.
– Build and maintain a comprehensive donor database, ensuring accurate record-keeping and tracking of development activity
– Create and manage the fundraising calendar and the schedule for recording prospects
– Assist in the preparation of grant applications, research, and reporting in collaboration with the Executive Artistic Director.
– Plan and execute donor events, receptions, and fundraising functions, in collaboration with the other staff members.
– Track fundraising metrics and prepare regular reports for staff, Board of Trustees, and funders.
Qualifications and Skills
– Minimum 3 years of experience in nonprofit fundraising or development
– Passion for the arts and commitment to Art House’s mission
– Organized, detail-oriented, deadline-driven, and able to prioritize and manage multiple projects
– Excellent communication skills—written, verbal, and interpersonal
– Collaborative team player with a positive, flexible attitude
– Proficiency in Google Workspace (Docs, Sheets, etc.)
– Experience with CRM or donor management platforms (e.g., Ludus) preferred
– Availability to attend performances and fundraising events during evenings or weekends
Compensation & Benefits:
– $27-$31/hour for 25-30 hours/week
– Office closure Dec. 24–Jan. 2 and all major holidays
– Flexible scheduling and hybrid working arrangements
