Attack Theatre is a Pittsburgh-based dance company that creates work at the intersection of art and community, resulting in programs that are personal, authentic, welcoming, and fearless. Under the artistic direction of Co-Founders and Co-Artistic Directors Peter Kope and Michele de la Reza, the company builds community with artists and audiences through the production of dance-based performance, creative learning programs, and interdisciplinary collaborations. Attack Theatre’s new home in the heart of Lawrenceville offers performances, classes, and community events; and strives to be an inclusive epicenter of dance, learning, and community partnerships. With a core belief that movement is an essential part of living and learning, Attack Theatre conducts hundreds of creative learning programs in school and community settings each year. Rooted in reflection, investigation, and imagination; these programs support creative learning and wellness for participants of all ages.

What You’ll Be Doing:

Marketing and Communications
Brand, Identity, and Presence
• Oversee (in conjunction with the Attack Theatre creative team – consisting of Artistic and Education Directors, graphic designers, external PR consultant, etc.) the creation and dissemination of effective messaging, marketing campaigns, and graphic design
• Collaborate to deliver a clear and consistent brand experience and high-quality creative concepts for all programs

Program Communication
• Manage all external resources for photography, videography, freelance design, and illustration as needed
• Develop and manage program marketing campaigns including print and digital campaigns, advertising, and ticket sales
• Ensure all programs meet brand guidelines and embeds equity into communications practices
• Assist Attack Theatre team with the development of communication materials of programs for use in initiatives including donor and audience development, grant writing, and booking opportunities

Digital Communications and Revenue Data Management
• Execute a digital communication strategy given current resources, ensuring timely and thoughtful engagement with participants/users
• Design and disseminate electronic communication (email list, social media, online listings) for all programs
• Manage www.attacktheatre.com, ensuring that all web communication is current, accurate and meets Attack Theatre standards of quality and content
• Oversee and manage Attack Theatre online donation portals and online ticketing services

Audience Data Management and Collection
• Design, disseminate and manage Attack Theatre audience data collection methods including audience surveys, marketing campaign analysis, and digital communication metrics
• Collect, analyze, and prepare data summaries for use in Attack Theatre fundraising and grant reporting
• Help to establish best practices and processes with data analysis, measurement, and segmentation
• Use data to inform marketing, brand, and programming decisions (data-driven templates, audience and participation based segmented marketing)
• Maintain database to ensure maximum efficacy for capturing and reporting data

Program and Audience Engagement
Audience/Community/Participant Engagement and Program Development
• Collaborate on the design and implementation of inclusive audience and stakeholder experiences
• Collaborate with the Artistic and Education Directors to build communication strategies that expand the reach and impact of the production, collaborations, and creative learning programs
• Assist with on-site audience hospitality, inter-activities, and ancillary events for Attack Theatre programming
• Coordinate box office and front-of-house experience for on-site events
• Create ticket reports and analyze audience data

Patron and Individual Giving Management
• Assist with the strategy development and coordination of patron and donor cultivation and communications
• Create print and electronic collateral materials and coordination of their design and production for Annual Fund campaigns (fall and year-end)
• Generate standard and variable data lists for print and digital mailings
• Assist with the distribution of general donor correspondence, including acknowledgement letters, cover letters, emails, and mailings

Special Events
• Coordinate Attack Theatre produced special events and engagement activities
• Communicate logistics with venues, partners, and on-site staff
• Coordinate hospitality needs and in-kind donations
• Manage volunteers and special event committees

• Passionate and/or interested in performing arts nonprofits
• Flexible, curious, committed to learning

Experienced with (or willing to learn):

• Ticketing software (we use RegFox/Ticket Spice)
• MailChimp
• Squarespace
• Little Green Light (or similar CRM)

• Salary of $38,000 – $40,000 annually
