Blumenthal Arts seeks an innovative and data-savvy Chief Marketing Officer (CMO) to lead its marketing, sales, and audience engagement efforts. A key member of the senior leadership team, the CMO will drive strategy to grow revenue, expand audience reach, and strengthen the organization’s brand presence. With a focus on digital innovation, consumer research, and CRM analytics, the CMO will guide targeted campaigns that support ticket sales, subscriptions, and community engagement initiatives. This role oversees brand management, communications, and customer experience across diverse programming—from Broadway and concerts to immersive and educational events. Reporting to the President & CEO, the CMO will also collaborate across departments to align messaging with institutional priorities. The ideal candidate is a strategic thinker and creative leader with deep marketing experience and a passion for the performing arts.

Your impact:
• Develop integrated marketing strategies and processes to support the full range of Blumenthal’s programs and initiatives. This includes Broadway tours, concerts, speakers, immersive experiences, outdoor festivals, special events, education programs, and community events.
• Drive digital use and innovation in marketing across all digital channels.
• Guide the strategic use of data analytics, reporting, and AudienceView’s CRM capabilities to generate audience insights that drive enhanced segmentation and tailored communications, measure campaign effectiveness, and support long-term audience development and retention.
• Oversee Blumenthal staff who work with touring show press agents, producers, and national marketing teams to ensure an effective working relationship.
• Oversee departmental budgets and cost-effective allocation of resources aligned with performance and strategic priorities.
• Design and implement consumer research strategies including post-show surveys, audience feedback tools, and focus groups.
• Lead efforts to grow single ticket, subscription, and group sales through targeted campaigns, pricing strategies, and audience segmentation.
• Ensure brand consistency and storytelling across digital, print, broadcast, and experiential channels.
• Oversee the development, maintenance, and organization-wide implementation of brand standards and guidelines to ensure alignment across all external communications.
• Lead internal and external crisis communication in coordination with executive leadership and external partners.
• Collaborate cross-departmentally to align marketing efforts with institutional goals.
• Lead and contribute to creative development and positioning strategies for marketing new programs, productions, and initiatives.
• Collaborate closely with the Community Impact and Partnership Department and Education Department to align messaging, support engagement initiatives, and strengthen connections with community stakeholders.
• Present and interact with members of the Board of Trustees and provide staff support to assigned committees.
• Work cross-departmentally to ensure and enhance the overall venue guest experience, from purchase to attendance, so that it is memorable and builds loyalty.
• Manage, mentor, and develop a high-performing marketing and sales team to support professional growth and organizational success.
• Network widely with industry peers to stay current on best practices, share experiences with recent events, and explore emerging methods and innovations.

Skills You’ll Bring:
• Bachelor’s degree in marketing, advertising, communications, or related field
• At least 10 years of senior-level marketing experience preferably in the performing arts or live event sector
• Proficient in CRM platforms and analytics
• Skilled in pricing and segmentation strategy
• Familiar with Broadway touring practices
• Proven success in driving revenue
• Meets or exceeds budgetary goals
