The Broward County Cultural Division is a Division of Broward County Government and the official Local Arts Agency responsible for cultivating a rich cultural environment through development of the arts. The agency is dedicated to the growth and development of the County’s arts and cultural infrastructure through public art, community engagement programs, grants to artists and cultural organizations, and marketing initiatives. The Cultural Division enhances quality of life, economic vitality and plays a significant role in supporting the County’s arts and culture sector. The Cultural Division administers more than $7 million in grants annually and hosts IGNITE Broward, South Florida’s most innovative, large-scale immersive art and tech festival.
Broward County’s Public Art & Design (PAD) program is an award-winning program that will celebrate 50 years in 2026. The PAD section is one of the most visible and well-known sections within the Cultural Division. The County’s public art collection comprises more than 300 pieces of art with an appraised value of more than $30 million.
As a senior role within the Cultural Division team, the Public Art Administrator leads a team of project managers in the planning, organizing, and directing of complex, specialized PAD projects for Broward County. In addition to managing public art projects funded through the general capital budget, this position works with County Enterprise Agencies on the implementation and management of their public art programs, including Port Everglades, Fort Lauderdale/Hollywood International Airport (FLL), and the Broward County Convention Center.
Additionally, this position will be responsible for developing new policy, processes, programs, and initiatives to include artist residencies within Broward County agencies, public art training programs, and more.
