REPORTS TO: General Manager
OBJECTIVE: Develop and maintain a comprehensive strategic plan for annual operating and to ensure the sustainability of Casa Mañana.
HOURS: Full time exempt – Monday through Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Evening and weekend hours based on theatre schedule and after-hours donor events
JOB RESPONSIBILITIES / DUTIES:
• Directly identify, cultivate, solicit and steward relationships with donors $2500+
• Work collaboratively with other departments to leverage a robust, comprehensive development strategy.
• Manage the overall fundraising pipeline, tracking progress towards goals for individual supporters, corporate sponsors, foundations and government agencies.
• Oversee development team that includes a grant writer and annual fund officer.
• Expand and solicit corporate partnerships and sponsorships
• Research and stay up-to-date on best practices in fundraising and marketing
• Design, implement and manage fundraising activities and solicitations for annual fund, annual gala, planned giving and major gifts
• Perform other responsibilities and duties as assigned
SKILLS: Exceptional verbal and written communication skills. Self-motivated, creative, organized, deadline driven, and detail-oriented. Must be a team player with a great attitude and willing to go above and beyond expectations. Should have a solid understanding of the philanthropic environment. Tessitura database knowledge a plus.
EXPERIENCE: 5-8+ years in non-profit fundraising; performing arts experience preferred.
EDUCATION: College degree or equivalent work experience
