The Senior Marketing Manager is responsible for working with the staff and consultants in all stages towards the successful execution of the organization’s programs/projects.
The Senior Marketing Manager supports marketing planning, scheduling, implementation and tracking, including:
-Works with the Artistic Director, Creative/Executive Director, and Operations Director to create the marketing plans and timelines
-Building brand awareness and positioning.
-Guides the successful execution of marketing plans with the support of staff, consultants and interns including, but not limited to: advertising (digital and non-digital), social media planning, public relations, brand strategy, customer relationship management, customer service, data analytics, pricing strategy, consumer and patron research, and promotions.
-Works closely with PR Consultant on messaging and strategy
-Works with the Social Media Consultant and staff to meet e-blast and posting deadlines
-Supervises management of the organizational database
-Creates marketing mockups and works with the graphic designer to complete the design and printing of program materials
-Creates marketing materials designed internally (i.e., performance programs, program promotion, audience survey and participation forms, etc.)
-Works with the website designer to update the site as needed
-Attends the weekly staff meeting
-Facilitates the weekly marketing meeting
-Participate in the organizational strategic planning retreat
-Participate in a post program evaluations (as scheduled)
-Works with the Finance Director and staff to ensure the organization’s fiduciary best practices (i.e., expense accounting, budget management, etc.)
-Facilitates the hire and supervision of the Marketing intern
-Attends staff training forums as scheduled
-Experience creating and executing marketing plans for live entertainment
-Entrepreneurial self starter
-Good writing and editing skills
-Pays keen attention to details
-Good time management and is dependable at meeting deadlines
-Experience with balancing budgets
-Experience using data to maximize revenue
-Word and Excel proficient
-Proficient in social and electronic media
-Proficient in Customer Relation Management programs
-Sustain organizational protocols
-At least 3 years of marketing experience
Reporting & Engagement
-Reports to: Operations Director
-Supervises: Visual/Website Designer and Marketing Intern
-Works with: Staff and consultants
-Engages with: DRDT clientele (ticket buyers, potential ticket buyers, students, community) and DRDT dancers and artists
