The Dunedin Music Society is positioned to grow beyond its initial launch, and our first dedicated Executive Director will directly influence important strategies for long-term sustainability by establishing and assuming administrative responsibilities of the organization and supporting the work of the Artistic Director. The position of Executive Director reports to the DMS Board of Directors.
This position is ideally suited for a leader with at least some association with not-for-profit management, who is looking for an opportunity to get connected with fans of live music and the community while utilizing the skills and experience garnered over an active working life and an interest in the arts. Although it is expected that the incumbent of this part-time volunteer position will, upon raising sufficient funds, assume compensated status, the DMS will accept applications from individuals who wish to volunteer for an interim period of 1-2 years until such point that the organization can sustain a longer-term paid appointment.
