Summer Internship in Marketing and Graphic Design

This is 10 week internship for 20 hrs per week for a Marketing and Graphic Design person (ages 17-22) to assist with branding, graphic design, and digital communications for the 2025-2026 season of the Elgin Master Chorale. This internship offers valuable experience in marketing for the arts, with opportunities to create graphics, develop engaging content, and contribute to the organization’s storytelling efforts.

Responsibilities: Design and develop graphics for the 2025–2026 concert season, fundraising campaigns, and events.
Create weekly social media posts that align with EMC’s brand voice and community engagement goals.
Collaborate with the Executive Director and staff to create materials for fundraising campaigns, including digital and print assets.
Manage and schedule content on EMC’s social media platforms.
Write engaging captions, newsletters, and website updates to promote events and campaigns.
Attend occasional virtual check-ins with EMC staff to discuss progress and brainstorm creative ideas.

Qualifications: Ages 17–22, with an interest in marketing, graphic design, communications, or arts administration.
Proficiency in graphic design software, such as Canva, Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign), or similar tools.
Strong written communication skills and creativity.
Knowledge of social media platforms (Instagram, Facebook) and scheduling tools.
Strong time-management and organizational skills, with the ability to meet deadlines.
Interest or experience in the arts is a plus but not required.
