Florida Studio Theatre is seeking an experienced grants writer who will be responsible for writing grant proposals to foundations and other grant-making entities seeking support for FST’s major theatre and education programs.

Reporting to the Director of Individual Giving, this position serves as a key member of the fundraising team. This position researches and identifies new funding prospects; prepares and submits grant proposals and reports to funders; helps to establish and builds relationships with foundations and government funders and cultivates new sources of funding; and maintains a calendar of submissions and other deadlines.


Ability to study and understand the history, structure, programs, and financial needs of the organization
Research grant opportunities from corporate, foundation and government prospects.
Draft grant proposals and supporting documents.
Maintain records and submit reports related to grants.
Strong writing, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Demonstrated ability to work independently on multiple, diverse priorities while meeting deadlines.

Salary range: $40,000-$48,000/yr
