TITLE: Associate Director for Ticketing and Sales Strategy
SUPERVISOR: Director of Marketing & Communications
CLASSIFICATION: FLSA Exempt; Full Time
BASIC FUNCTION
The Associate Director for Ticketing and Sales Strategy will lead Ford’s Theatre’s revenue-generation efforts, focusing on the development and execution of strategic initiatives for both group and individual ticket sales. This position is integral to ensuring the Theatre meets and exceeds financial goals by optimizing all revenue channels, including group sales, third-party partnerships, and dynamic pricing strategies. The Associate Director will leverage data analytics to drive decision-making and collaborate across departments to ensure alignment of sales strategies with broader organizational objectives, ultimately maximizing ticket revenue while maintaining the highest standards of customer service.
PRINCIPAL RESPONSIBILITIES
Strategic Leadership and Group Sales Revenue Growth:
• Collaborate with the Marketing team on the strategic direction for ticketing and lead all group sales initiatives, identifying opportunities to expand market reach and increase revenue.
• Develop and execute targeted strategies to grow group sales, focusing on building and nurturing relationships with schools, organizations, and other key affinity groups.
• Work cross-functionally with marketing, communications, and development teams to identify and capitalize on high-revenue opportunities, ensuring a unified approach to audience engagement and sales growth.
Sales Strategy and Optimization:
• Work closely with the Director of Marketing and Communications on ticketing strategies, overseeing revenue-generating activities across all sales channels, including Box Office, online ticketing platforms, and third-party vendors (TodayTix, VetTix, etc.).
• Monitor and analyze sales data to identify trends, forecast future needs, and refine sales strategies to ensure financial objectives are met.
• Collaborate with the Marketing team to design targeted campaigns, promotional strategies, and outreach efforts to maximize ticket sales and group bookings.
• Ensure the alignment of pricing strategies with attendance goals and audience demands, adjusting tactics as necessary to maintain optimal revenue performance.
Team Leadership and Development:
• Lead and develop the ticketing and sales team, providing strategic direction, training, and performance feedback to ensure they consistently meet or exceed revenue targets.
• Promote a culture of excellence in customer service, ensuring that all interactions with patrons are aimed at enhancing satisfaction while driving sales results.
• Foster team growth by identifying opportunities for skill development, creating a high-performance environment that thrives on continuous improvement.
Data Analysis and Strategic Planning:
• Use data-driven insights to inform strategic decisions, identify new opportunities for revenue generation, and optimize current sales processes.
• Produce regular reports on ticket sales, revenue performance, and group sales activities for senior leadership, offering actionable recommendations for refinement and growth.
• Leverage sales data and customer feedback to shape long-term ticketing strategies, driving both immediate and sustained revenue growth.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES
• A minimum of five years of experience in ticketing and sales strategy, with a proven record of driving significant revenue growth and optimizing sales operations.
• Strong leadership experience in ticketing, group sales, or customer service, ideally within the arts, culture, or entertainment sectors.
• Expertise in revenue management, dynamic pricing, and sales optimization, with experience handling diverse revenue streams including individual, group, and third-party sales.
• Proficiency with ticketing software (Tessitura preferred) and Microsoft Office Suite; experience with data analysis and reporting tools to guide strategic decisions.
• Exceptional leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across departments and engage effectively with external partners.
• A strategic mindset with the ability to leverage data and insights to make informed, actionable decisions that drive revenue.
• A passion for customer service excellence, ensuring that both customer satisfaction and revenue growth are prioritized.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.

SALARY
The salary range for this position is between $72,500 – $75,000 annually.
