Who We Are…

Our mission is to provide the highest quality live orchestral experiences for the enjoyment, enrichment and education of our community.  This mission comes to life through artistic performances featuring our regional professional musicians as well as providing opportunities for the youth of the region to participate in the Idaho Falls Symphony Youth Orchestra program.

As the Executive Director, you bring a passion for the arts, strong leadership skills and an ability to inspire a community to engage at every level.  You have strong executive presence and the ability to share our compelling vision for the Symphony with all stakeholders in the region.  Your passion, presence and personal commitment to growth are hallmarks in every endeavor. You understand how to develop strategies that bring life to the vision of a Board of Directors and how to win the engagement of volunteers and staff.

What You Will Own…

●      Serve as the face of the symphony in the region, representing the organization in the most professional manner working with the board, donors, musicians, staff and other non-profits to elevate the Symphony and lead us to the next level.

●      You will be accountable for all operational aspects, including finance, operations, performances, fund raising, staffing, sponsorships, administration and scheduling.

You will be accountable to the Board of Directors and work directly with Dr. Thomas Heuser, Music Director to fulfill the mission of the organization in this role.  This is a full-time position that requires an understanding and the ability to work with a diverse group of stakeholders. This position has a variable schedule that includes evening and weekend events.

This role is based in Idaho Falls, ID in the Snake River Valley west of the Tetons.  This growing community offers one of the best qualities of life and has been ranked as one of the best places to live in the U.S. three years in a row.  The last few years have seen significant investment in revitalizing the historic downtown district driving an increased passion for the arts.

Compensation is commensurate with experience and includes paid holidays and time off.
