The Community Engagement Coordinator is responsible for supporting the department’s administrative and programmatic logistics and activities. This role supports virtual and in-person program coordination as assigned, including, but not limited to, event coordination, scheduling, and communication with multiple stakeholders, including participants, artists, volunteers, and the public.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Serve as the Community Engagement department administrator.
Monitor department email.
Attend scheduled meetings with partners and artists to take notes.
Ensure the institutional calendars are up-to-date with all program information.
Manage the studio scheduling requests on behalf of the department.
Act as the primary documenter for department meetings, programs, and forums as assigned.
Assist with data entry and upkeep in the organizational database (Tessitura) as assigned
Draft program copy, program reports, and proofread materials.
Support receipt tracking, budget monitoring, and clerical duties with invoice tracking.
Event Support

In-person support for year-round events as scheduled, including public classes, workshops, and Day at the Pillow visits, among other programs.
Events are regularly scheduled on weekends and in the evenings.
Duties include preparing event spaces, registering attendees, collecting payment, facilitating public welcome, interacting with participants and artists, and providing customer service for participants.
Be present during College Partner site visits and Pillow Lab Showings to facilitate tours and greet guests.
Support the CIM Institute modules
Support the College Partnership Program

Manage membership and renewals
Support ongoing communications.
Support onsite and virtual programming including the college partnership convening.
Liaise with Archives on site visits.
Community Tabling

Coordinate staff community tabling opportunities by actively pursuing opportunities, scheduling, and preparing materials.
WORKING CONDITIONS/PHYSICAL DEMANDS

Office setting: Remaining in a stationary position for extended periods, moving within the office space as necessary.
Frequent interruptions.
Working regularly outdoors in all weather conditions, including inclement weather.
Working regularly in wooded areas with exposure to native wildlife, including, but not limited to, rodents, ticks, and mosquitos.
Working regularly in community public spaces such as libraries, event venues, Farmers Markets, etc.
Move objects across campus, with or without assistance, such as tables, chairs, and event supplies.
Ability to work evenings and weekends.
