Job description
Kaatsbaan Ballet Intensive offers an all-inclusive boutique summer ballet camp experience unlike any other. Kaatsbaan is situated on 153 rural acres in the quaint Village of Tivoli, New York, just two hours north of New York City. Our facilities include state-of-the-art dance studios and our Dancers’ Inn. Catering is provided on-site. The Kaatsbaan Ballet Intensive provides a healthy and safe environment for young dancers to hone their balletic technical skills and refine their artistry with teachers of great renown.
Kaatsbaan Ballet Intensive is a unique training program designed for young dancers to develop exceptional technical skills, artistic refinement and a sophisticated approach to repertoire, with the ultimate goal of preparing attendees for a career in the arts.
The KBI Camp Supervisor is responsible for overseeing 4-6 KBI Resident Assistants. KBI is a program made up of 50 – 60 students per session, ages 13-18 during our Kaatsbaan Ballet Intensive 2023. The Camp Supervisor is required to live on property at Kaatsbaan for all 3 intensive sessions (8 weeks) from July 3 through August 26. The Camp Supervisor is provided housing, meals, and a $500 weekly honorarium.

Kaatsbaan Ballet Intensive Camp Supervisor duties will include, but are not limited to:
Acting chaperone for all students
Manage RA staff members and duties
Model a professional attitude and respectful atmosphere
Ensuring all dancers are adhering to KBI policy and procedures
Overseeing scheduling and implementation of activities & excursions
Document and report any student mediations
Documenting and reporting any illnesses, injuries, or unusual student behavior to Kaatsbaan and Medical Staff
Overseeing and enforcing student sign in/sign out procedure
Assisting the staff and in the office with light clerical work (if requested)
Oversee and implement fire & safety drills in conjunction with KBI Staff
Informing the Staff of any management or disciplinary concerns
Maintaining the Kaatsbaan Safety Plan, which has been approved and set forth by the NY State Health Department summer overnight camp guidelines
Other duties as assigned

Applicants must be 25 years of age or older, and have completed a 4- year degree or equivalent experience. Degrees in Education or related fields and access to a vehicle are preferred, but not required.

EMT, Medical Assistant, Nurse’s Assistant (Preferred but not required)
Childcare: 1 year minimum (Preferred)

First Aid/CPR Certification (Preferred)
