DAY-TO-DAY AS THE EXECUTIVE DIRECTOR

As the Executive Director at Kids’ Orchestra, you will play a pivotal role in ensuring the continuous growth and success of our organization. Reporting directly to the Board of Directors, you will oversee all aspects of strategic and operational management. You will lead a team of dedicated staff members, ensuring program excellence and evaluating the effectiveness of our initiatives. A key part of your role will be to actively engage and energize our private funders, community partners, and board members.

You will also have the opportunity to develop and strengthen our Board of Directors, actively participating in committees and guiding strategic direction. Fundraising and communications will be another crucial aspect of your responsibilities, where you will build existing relationships with donors, cultivate new donor relationships, oversee the development and communications department, and implement fundraising plans. Additionally, you will be responsible for fiscal oversight, generating strategic fiscal plans, establishing revenue goals, managing budgets, and monitoring cash flow. Program expansion will also be a priority; you will design and execute strategic planning processes to bring our programs to more communities across Louisiana.

Building partnerships and leveraging your external relationships will be essential to open up new opportunities for growth and replication. This role will provide you with a unique opportunity to make a lasting impact on the lives of children and the community as a whole, and contribute to our mission of community enrichment through music education. Join us at Kids’ Orchestra and be a catalyst for change in the Baton Rouge community!
