Lead production and front of house staff to ensure maximum safety and productivity during rehearsals and performances.
The Las Colinas Symphony Orchestra is currently seeking a part-time person to serve in the position of Production Manager. The Production Manager is responsible for ensuring that the production and execution for all orchestra events (concerts, rehearsals, auditions, tours, run-outs, and special events) run smoothly and effectively. The Production Manager leads stage set up and teardown for each rehearsal/performance, assigns tech crew to lights and/or sound for production, and calls the show. The Production manager will execute and delegate any additional technical duties to insure a smooth operation of the production in accordance with the unique needs of each venue and guest artist. These tasks can be assigned by the Executive Director or General Manager. The Production Manager must have a valid Driver’s License and good driving record. This position may require heavy lifting.
Qualifications: Multitasker, able to delegate and lead a staff, professional and personable attitude, and hard worker. Operational and/or backstage experience is required. Orchestral experience is a plus.
*Because each production is different, the Production Manager’s specific responsibilities will change. This position is utilized one week per month from October to May averaging 40-50 hours for the week.
