Lucille Lortel Theatre is seeking a General Management/Marketing Associate. We are open to candidates seeking a career change, and prefer a commitment of a minimum of one year. As a team member, the applicant’s responsibilities will include daily management of Lortel Theatre’s social media platforms, as well as assisting in the day to day operations of the companies to which Lortel provides management services. This provides an opportunity to work closely with senior artistic and management leadership of those companies, as well as the Lortel Theatre staff. In addition, the GMMA will have the opportunity to work on other Lortel Theatre programs in varying capacities. All staff members are involved in the development of new programming and the continuing evolution and implementation of the company’s anti-racist policies.

Even if you feel you do not meet every requirement listed below, we strongly encourage applicants from historically marginalized communities to apply. Lucille Lortel Theatre is proud to be an Equal Opportunity Employer. Lucille Lortel Theatre recognizes that historic institutional practices have led to an exclusionary and harmful environment for members of these communities, and is actively working to become a more diverse, anti-racist, inclusive organization. We acknowledge and welcome the complexity of the work ahead.

GMMA candidates should have strong organizational skills, attention to detail, work independently, and be comfortable dealing with our clients’ varied needs. Knowledge of Social Media platforms is critical. The position also involves bookkeeping and theatrical production budgeting. Experience with ADP, audit procedures, 501(c)(3) operations, and an understanding of union agreements, Quickbooks and spreadsheet software is preferred but not required. Candidates should be comfortable with both Mac and PC computer systems. A computer will be provided.
