Opera Omaha is seeking an experienced individual to serve as Artistic Operations Coordinator. The principal responsibility of this position is to provide a welcoming, belonging and equitable atmosphere for all guest contractors. In addition to the Director of Artistic Administration, the Artistic Operations Coordinator will work closely with the Director of Production and the Director of Partnerships and Programs.

The Artistic Operations Coordinator has essential administrative functions, including artist concierge services, departmental financial operations, calendar management, and other office duties. They provide support and coordination for the artistic, production/technical activities for the company’s mainstage productions, site-specific productions, engagement programs, galas, special events and performances, and annual programming. The Artistic Operations Coordinator ensures that all aspects of their work adhere to established parameters and support the artistic and financial goals of the company. PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES + EXPECTATIONS
•Contracting and payments for contracted artists
•Travel and housing arrangements for contracted artists
•Support the Director of Artistic Administration with financial expense tracking
•Generate invoices and monitor cash flow
•Calendar and schedule management
•General operations
•Assist with data and report preparation

YOU ARE AN IDEAL CANDIDATE IF YOU ARE:
•Able to prioritize, meet deadlines, stay organized and manage multiple projects simultaneously.
•A team player with good communication skills who enjoys collaboration.
•A highly relational person who enjoys meeting and developing connections with people within and outside an organization.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS
•2-5 years of experience in a performing arts environment, preferably opera, or equivalent experience in hospitality/concierge services, project management, and accounts payable.
•The candidate has a background in music, can read music, and understand the terminology.
•Strong computer skills, including a thorough knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Access, PowerPoint, Publisher), and is familiar with accounting databases/software.
