Responsibilities include:

Front of House
Manage any staging changes such as chair and music stand placement.
Provide concert cues to the chorus and artistic director backstage with help from the general manager as needed depending on sound and lighting demands.

Sound and Lighting
With the artistic director, create a plan for meeting the sound and lighting needs at each concert.
With the general manager, confer in advance with venue personnel to confirm that the required technical resources are available, and if not, create a plan to get what is needed.
Set up and break down lighting and sound equipment as needed.
Provide lighting and sound support at approximately four site rehearsals, four dress rehearsals, and four to five concerts per year.
Be flexible during site and dress rehearsals and willing to try different options to optimize sound and lighting.
Bring a musician’s ear to the work, provide constructive feedback and input on the balance between the sound system and live singers and musicians.
Manage concert start times by providing lighting changes for the audience to cue the beginning of the performance and end of the intermission, at the direction of the artistic director.

Qualifications: Experience with performing arts organizations; training in sound and recording with a working knowledge of signal flow, a variety of audio and mixer interfaces, and an ability to assess what tech will be needed and how to use what is available through a venue; a reputation for reliability and punctuality; ability to foster open and ongoing communication; attention to detail; proactive/self-starter; ability to multitask; ability to work cooperatively and effectively with a wide variety of people; a collaborative spirit.

Preferred qualifications: A warm demeanor; ability to lift and move heavy equipment including choral risers and lighting equipment; experience with vocal music ensembles.

Candidate must have: Availability to attend all PWC dress rehearsals, site rehearsals, and performances as set forth below.
