Roundabout Theatre Company, the nation’s largest not-for-profit theatre, seeks an enthusiastic, thoughtful individual to join the company’s Culture and Engagement department as the Culture and Engagement Coordinator. The position reports to the Directors of Culture and Engagement and is an essential part of the overall effectiveness of the team.
The Culture and Engagement Coordinator will play a critical role in maintaining administrative operations for the department. The Culture and Engagement department encompasses both HR and Audiences Services functions, focusing on strategies to bolster belonging for our employees and our audiences. This role provides administrative support for a range of short- and long-term projects and employee and audience initiatives.
This is some of what the Culture and Engagement Coordinator might do:
Participate in recruiting and interview process, including for the TWDP Admin Fellows
HR file maintenance: update I9 database, keep employee files current, and organize files for storage
Assist in trainings and ensure proper record keeping
Maintain company-wide staff list for administrative use and Playbill listings
Support Onboarding & Benefits Specialist in tasks related to the administration of benefits and onboarding new employees
Research, collect data, and generate reports for various Culture and Engagement initiatives
Provide support for our access programs (i.e. scheduling training meetings for our relaxed performances).
Organize, attend, and participate in staff committee meetings
Be the contact for our employee groups and committees, ensuring all information regarding these groups are up to date
Function as staff liaison for Culture Amp, the employee performance appraisal system
Coordinate employee events including All Staff Meeting and wellness days, and assist in the coordination of other parties and events
Help create and deploy employee surveys through Culture Amp to monitor employee satisfaction
Work on short- and long-term Culture and Engagement initiatives
With Directors of Culture and Engagement, research training and learning opportunities as it relates employee engagement
Assist with other Engagement tasks as needed
This is some of what the Culture and Engagement Coordinator should bring:
Minimum one-year human resources or administrative experience preferred
Personable and approachable with the ability to collaborate across departments and with employees at all levels of the organization
Excellent attention to detail
Computer savvy in Outlook, Excel, and Word. ADP and Culture Amp a plus
Ability to work independently to meet deadlines and prioritize multiple projects
Strong organization and communication skills
Ability to maintain confidentiality
A deep commitment to our Building a Better Roundabout work
Roundabout operates on a hybrid working schedule, requiring this person to work in the office minimum three days a week.
The salary range is $42,000 – $45,000 annually plus any overtime for hours worked over 40 in a workweek. This is a full-time position with the standard Roundabout benefits package that includes medical plan paired with a health reimbursement account, dental, vision, 401k with 5% employer contribution, PTO, LTD, and life insurance.
