The Wardrobe Supervisor is responsible for the care, maintenance, and organization of all costumes and wigs in a production through Tech, Opening, and Strike. The Wardrobe Supervisor will run shows and work closely with Stage Management in developing the wardrobe track and supervising any additional wardrobe technicians. The Wardrobe Supervisor will assist in the costume shop for pre-production, as well as help maintain Stage’s costume stock.

What you’ll do at Stages
Attend all Designer Runs, Technical Rehearsals, Previews, and Performances as the Wardrobe Supervisor and point person for the costume shop in the absence of the Costume Shop Supervisor
Supervise and train additional wardrobe technicians
Generate organizational structures for the wardrobe technicians to support the production runs
Help curate and update show related paperwork for the wardrobe tracks
Create show related paperwork for the costume department
Support the costume design through quick change solutions and tracking as needed
Oversee the maintenance of all costume department assets during the run, including dry cleaning, laundering, replacements and repairs
Maintain wigs in accordance with the original fronting and style
Generate a strike plan for wardrobe technicians and re-stock assets post production within existing organization protocols
Support costume shop operations as needed through the build process
Stay informed of the costume design, build and casting of each production

To excel in this job, you’ll need
Experience with teaching and leading teams
Costume or Wardrobe crew experience in theater
Stitching or similar work for a theatrical costume shop
Experience with Maintaining wigs
Experience with a variety of textiles and mediums
Some experience with light crafting

It’s also great to have
General office experience including Microsoft Word, Excel and Google Suite
Valid Driver’s License
