The Publicist plays an important role within The Shed’s Marketing & Communications team, which is charged with developing and driving local, national, and global visibility for The Shed and creating comprehensive campaigns to publicize all performances, exhibitions, programs, initiatives, and events. The Publicist reports to the Director of Communications and liaises with other members of the Marketing & Communications team to build awareness for The Shed’s multidisciplinary exhibitions and performances and develop strong relationships with media to foster a broad appreciation for The Shed’s artistic vision and programs. The ideal candidate will be someone who connects deeply with The Shed’s mission, is a creative, deadline-driven, detail-oriented self-starter who works collaboratively and efficiently with colleagues across multiple departments.
