The Position

As a Content Creator/Videographer, you understand how to shoot and edit captivating stories for the social space. You play a key role in the entire production process – from shooting and lighting to editing and animating platform-first digital content. You will be responsible for establishing and evolving TAPA’s digital brand, collaborating with the Marketing and Artistic teams to deliver digital content that inspires loyal customer behavior and engagement. You will be working in a fast-paced environment, primarily crafting dynamic and innovative video and animations to promote the performances and programs of the Toledo Alliance for the Performing Arts.

The Expertise and Skills You Bring
• Ability to direct, shoot and light using professional video equipment
• Passion for sales-focused creative story telling
• Success in promoting products or programs
• Video editing expertise with proficiency in Adobe Creative Suite and particular expertise in Adobe Premiere, After Effects and Photoshop.
• Print and digital graphic design experience with knowledge in Adobe InDesign and Illustrator strongly preferred.
• Knowledge of social media platforms and the specifics of creating and delivering content for them.
Primary Responsibilities
• Produce dynamic and engaging video and animated content to promote TAPA performances.
• Create promotional videos and highlight reels for TAPA’s community engagement and education programs.
• Create digital graphics for TSO in HD screens including pre-concert slideshows and show overlays.
• Create sponsor / community partner recognition videos
• Collaborate with the VP of Marketing & Operations and Marketing Manager to create a slick and engaging social strategy across multiple platforms (up to 20 social channels).
• Assist in creating non-video social content and digital ads.
• Edit TAPA performances and other videos such as pre-concert talks for TAPA’s streaming platform.
• Produce and edit supplemental videos to support TAPA Classroom.

The Work Environment
The Content Creator / Videographer is part of the Marketing team and reports to the VP of Marketing & Operations. This role works across all disciplines of the organization, primarily to promote attendance at TAPA events. The team strives to have fun, make each other laugh, and maintain a healthy work/life balance as we promote the performing arts!
It is preferred that the ideal candidate work on-site at TAPA’s administrative offices in Toledo, OH. Presence at rehearsals and performances is necessary to capture video and photo assets. Remote work will be considered for the perfect candidate. You will be provided with a high-powered PC laptop with docking station and additional monitors and an annual subscription to Adobe Creative Cloud and Envato Elements. Additional equipment such as cameras, etc. will also be provided. From time to time, the marketing team also uses Canva to produce quick social graphics.
