Box Office & Digital Media Coordinator
The Box Office Coordinator serves as the primary point of contact for all ticketing activities within the Rudi E. Scheidt School of Music, including the Scheidt Family Performing Arts Center. As Box Office Coordinator, you will be the face of the School of Music, responsible for ensuring a seamless ticket purchasing experience for our valued guests. This role involves coordination with internal and external clients, including faculty, concert promoters and talent representatives, to ensure smooth and efficient ticket sales and event management.
Key Responsibilities:
Interacting with customers in a friendly and professional manner to assist them with ticket purchases both online and in person
Ensuring accuracy in ticket transactions and seating assignments to provide an exceptional customer experience.
Maintain and manage box office equipment and supplies.
Uphold a professional and welcoming environment within the box office and lobby spaces.
Organize and maintain patron information using the designated customer relationship management (CRM) system.
Maintaining accurate records of ticket sales, payments, and customer information
Prepare and present sales reports to the Operations Manager and Business Officer.
Supervise and manage student workers for event box office sales, providing guidance and support as needed.
Manage the creation of concert programs, ensuring accuracy, brand adherence, and timely completion.
Work with Marketing to pull relevant reports as needed.
Other duties as assigned.
Working Conditions:
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to sit; use hands to handle or feel; and talk or hear. The employee frequently is required to stand, walk, and reach with hands and arms. The employee is occasionally required to stoop, kneel, or crouch. The employee must occasionally lift and/or move up to 10 pounds. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision.

Excellent communication and customer service skills.
Proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel
Experience with CRM systems preferred.
Ability to work collaboratively with a variety of stakeholders.
Experience in ticket sales and event management is preferred.
Ability to walk, sit and stand for long periods of time on hard surface floor.
Outside of standard schedule, Box Office Coordinator will work hours mutually agreed upon to oversee weekday box office operations, with some evening and weekend hours required. Standard weekly hours are between 20-25 hours, up to 30 hours per week in select cases.
The role involves working in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks simultaneously.
