The Senior Manager, Data and Analytics leads institutional efforts to integrate and activate data as a core asset in support of mission-driven decision-making, programmatic impact, and community connection. Reporting initially to the VP, Finance and Operations, this role serves as the primary project manager for the organization’s data transformation initiative—driving the adoption of integrated systems, leading cross-departmental collaboration, and ensuring staff are equipped to implement and sustain a culture of data-informed practice.
In addition to stewarding this enterprise-level change, the Senior Manager continues to support Artistic Programs’ internal and external research and analysis efforts, collaborates across teams to strengthen artist-centered operational processes, and oversees tools such as YoungArts Post and community engagement platforms. This role is both strategic and hands-on, balancing systems thinking with tactical execution and ongoing team support. Salary starts as listed and is commensurate with experience.
Direct Reporting: The Senior Manager, Data and Analytics reports to the Vice President, Finance and Operations through the initial phases of the data transformation initiative. Thereafter, this role will be reviewed to align reporting with business needs. This role may partially (50%) supervise a support-level role upon assessment of the data transformation timeline.
Essential and Other Responsibilities (perform other duties as assigned):
– Collaborate with Director, National Competition, Senior Director, Lifetime Support for Artists, and Director, Partnerships & New Initiatives to execute strategy for internal operational excellence across programs teams, including the management of cross-team collaboration and project management infrastructures that will support growth and transformation of existing programs.
– Collaborate with Senior Director, Integrated Advancement to drive programmatic evaluation, process mapping, and data visualization efforts in support of internal learning and external storytelling.
– Serve as primary project manager for the organization-wide data transformation initiative, ensuring that system selection, design, and implementation align with institutional goals, timelines, and cross-functional needs.
– Facilitate internal change management efforts, including training, documentation, onboarding, and feedback loops, to support widespread adoption and meaningful use of new tools and practices.
– Collaborate with Artistic Programs leadership to maintain and refine data systems that track artist engagement, programmatic activity, and community impact.
– Design and oversee workflows and integrations that improve data flow between departments, reduce duplication, and support real-time decision-making.
– Support operational excellence by designing or enhancing cross-team collaboration tools, project management infrastructure, and reporting templates.
– Lead the strategic growth of digital community tools such as YoungArts Post to ensure meaningful artist engagement, knowledge-sharing, and long-term data stewardship.
– Collaborate with Associate, Research and Analytics to ensure the successful management of time and goals as Associate, Research and Analytics supports projects across the organization.
– Develop and cultivate relationships with local and national arts service organizations and other service providers to ensure YoungArts’ approach to artist data collection is field defining.
– Recognize innovative ways that YoungArts can expand and adapt its programming, ensuring that cutting edge approaches are utilized for greater reach and impact.
Qualifications and Experience Requirements: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required.

– 7+ years of experience leading data strategy, analytics, or digital transformation efforts in a nonprofit, higher education, or arts organization setting.
– Demonstrated success managing complex, cross-functional projects involving multiple stakeholders and change management components.
– Strong background in CRM, data integration, or project management systems (e.g., Salesforce, Airtable, Asana, etc.).
– Familiarity with or experience in artist-centered or arts education programs strongly preferred.
– Experience designing and delivering internal trainings, technical onboarding, and capacity-building initiatives.
– Fluency in data visualization, reporting, and impact measurement frameworks.
– Demonstrated ability to supervise staff and guide collaborative workstreams in both strategic and hands-on contexts.
– Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with an ability to convey complex information clearly and persuasively.
– Proficiency in Excel and experience with database tools and integrations required.
– Strong organizational skills and comfort working across teams in a fast-paced environment.
Education and/or Credentialing Requirements:
– Bachelor’s degree in data science, information systems, arts administration, or a related field required.
– Advanced degree or certifications in project management, change leadership, or nonprofit technology preferred.
– Experience beyond the stated requirement may be considered in lieu of a formal degree.
Working conditions, typical physical/mental demands:
– YoungArts physical campus and headquarters is located in Miami, FL. Work is performed in a hybrid (virtual and in-office) setting. Typical operations take place in an office environment and/or in an event/venue setting.
– General working hours are 9:00 am– 6:00 pm, Monday through Friday. The nature of our work will sometimes require an adjustment to this schedule, including evenings and weekends. You will normally be advised in advance should your work schedule be adjusted.
